Reflection

I think that the USA doesn't reflect the New Colossus we read today. In that poem it showed the USA to be a helping country that gives their hand to other countries in need. Also, to immigrants coming here from other countries. I think that the USA does try to lend a helping hand to some countries in need. However, the USA does not reflect this about the immigration. We are saying immigration is a bad thing and trying to send people back to their countries. We are even building walls to block them out. The poem shows the USA welcoming others into our country, but today, the USA is doing the complete opposite. -Sarah Von Tersch
