Do Americans Still Believe in the "Colossus" Poem?

I think that some people still believe in this poem. I think of it as true. I support immigrants because most immigrants are here for a better life. Members of my family immigrated here for a better life. The other group denies this poem because they are against immigration. But what they fail to see is that this country was founded on immigration.
